On Saturday, July 13, 2019, a group of thugs armed with silencer guns attacked innocent Kenyans in Ziwani, leaving seven people with gunshot wounds at the Gurunanak Hospital.
The thugs, who had robbed Chinese contractors at the Park Road Housing project, then embarked on shooting anyone who came their way as they made their escape.
Residents described the incident as unprecedented, with one resident crying, 'We have never seen such an incident in a long time in Ziwani. These thugs were shooting anything and anyone that came their way.'
One of the victims' families is appealing for help to settle the hospital bills, which are piling up due to the severity of the wounds.
Some residents have raised suspicions that the raid could have been conducted by rogue police officers, given the high calibre of weapon used.
