The Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC) has raised concerns over the integrity of 241 aspirants, including three presidential candidates, ahead of the August elections.

According to a letter addressed to the IEBC's CEO Marjan Hussein, the anti-graft body has listed candidates who have failed the integrity test, which may bar them from participating in the elections.

Among the notable candidates listed are presidential hopefuls Justus Juma, Jared Obwogi, and Mwangi Wa Iria, as well as other aspirants including Mike Sonko, Evans Kidero, Ann Waiguru, Martin Wambora, and Muthomi Njuki.

The EACC has cited pending court cases as one of the reasons for red-listing these candidates, which may provide an avenue for them to escape being locked out of the general election.
