On May 31, 2022, KCB Women's Volleyball Team made history by becoming the first Kenyan club to win the African Club Championship since Kenya Prisons in 2013.

The team, led by Veronica Adhiambo, Mercy Moim, Sharon Chepchumba, and Emmaculate Nekesa, dominated the competition, defeating defending champions Al Ahly of Egypt 3-1 (25-18, 25-22, 11-25, 28-26) in the finals staged in Kelibia, Tunisia.

The match saw Kenya take a 2-0 lead before the Egyptians fought back to win the third set. However, KCB responded strongly in the fourth set, narrowly winning to end Kenya's nine-year championship drought.

The team's victory marked a significant milestone in Kenyan volleyball, and the team was crowned champions on Tuesday evening.

At the same time, the Kenya Pipeline volleyball team secured bronze in the women's Africa Club Champions home sider, coming from behind to record a nail-biting 3-2 win (20-25, 25-23, 19-25, 25-23, 15-11) over home side Carthage.
