Murathe confirms President Kenyatta will not participate in campaigns ¶
President Uhuru Kenyatta has taken a back seat in Raila Odinga's campaigns, allowing Raila's running mate Martha Karua to solidify the Mount Kenya voting bloc for Azimio.
According to Azimio la Umoja-One Kenya Coalition National Executive Council Vice Chair David Murathe, President Kenyatta is keen on cementing his legacy and has chosen not to actively participate in the campaigns.
David Murathe stated that President Kenyatta's decision is aimed at allowing Raila's running mate Martha Karua to focus on securing the Mount Kenya region for Azimio.
