Scientists have warned that Monkeypox can be transmitted through casual contact, leading to a recent outbreak in the UK.

According to experts, the virus can spread through close contact with an infected person, including touching, shaking hands, or sharing utensils. This includes people with symptoms such as rashes, blisters, or fever, as well as those who have been in close proximity to an infected individual.

However, evidence suggests that Monkeypox can also be transmitted through other means, including physical contact with an infected person's clothing or bedding.

As of now, Africa has reported nine cases of Monkeypox, with the majority coming from the Democratic Republic of Congo and Nigeria. The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control has reported 66 cases of Monkeypox across multiple states.

Monkeypox was first identified in Africa in 1970, but this recent outbreak has raised concerns about the potential for transmission through casual contact.
