Located in the Kamakia area of Kiambu County, Man's Chamber Barbers and Spa has been making headlines for its unconventional business strategy.
On May 31, 2022, the barbershop's owner, Mwende Frey, took to social media to showcase the unique experience offered to male clients.
As part of the service, clients are treated to a bevy of beauties twerking to keep them entertained while they receive their haircuts and shaves.
However, not everyone is pleased with the barbershop's approach. Women have accused Mwende of using unconventional means to lure their husbands and boyfriends.
When questioned about the criticism, Mwende defended her business, stating, "When you say I'm sexualising the business by twerking, what do you mean? Women twerk in clubs every day and they don't get paid. I get paid to do this, so why not?"
She also emphasized the importance of confidence and self-expression, saying, "I'm sexy, I'm fabulous, I'm confident in my body, I'm a beautiful woman; that's an open secret. It has worked for this business. Men love seeing nice things. No man would enjoy being touched by rough hands. Here you meet soft hands, soft voices and beautiful girls."
