On May 31, 2022, Vihiga County Commissioner Susan Waweru emphasized the need for collaboration among government officers to deliver efficient services to the public.
Speaking on the importance of public servants working together, Waweru noted that they must complement each other's mandates to achieve effective service delivery.
She also urged the officers to expedite development projects implemented by their respective departments, citing ineffective monitoring as a major reason for delays.
“Transfers are a conventional practice in public service and so you should always be ready for it. You should always live up to the slogan of giving your best to the clients regardless of the area you are deployed to,” she said.
Waweru appealed for concerted efforts to ensure a peaceful election on August 9, 2022, and asked public officers to be at the forefront of sensitizing the electorate on the need for peaceful co-existence.
