On May 27, 2022, a Tanzanian national was arrested by police officers in Nairobi and taken to Kajiado where he was robbed of Sh80,000.
The victim reported the incident to Samuel Okoth, an officer on duty at Loitoktok police station, who assigned four officers to investigate the matter.
After tracking the suspects to Loitoktok airstrip, the officers fired in the air to stop them, and the suspects eventually packed up and stopped.
Four police officers, Geoffrey Mwongela, Alex Katana, Kelvin Njuguna, and Tony Kororia, as well as a civilian, David Mutua, were arrested and are expected to be arraigned in court on Monday.
