On July 18, 2019, West Ham United made a significant move in the transfer market by signing French striker Sebastien Haller from Bundesliga team Eintracht Frankfurt for an undisclosed club record fee.
The 25-year-old Haller joins the London-based club on a five-year deal with an option of a further year, becoming West Ham's fourth signing of the summer.
According to British media reports, the figure for the transfer is estimated at 45 million pounds, surpassing the previous record signing of attacking midfielder Felipe Anderson from Lazio in July 2018 for a reported initial 35 million pounds, which rose to a potential 42 million.
