Hebert and Marilyn, a couple from the United States, have shown that true love can last a lifetime. Published on July 17, 2019, their remarkable story has left many in awe.
Hebert, 94, passed away on July 12 at 2:20 am, while his wife Marilyn passed away 12 hours later at 2:20 pm. The couple had been married for 71 years.
They met for the first time when Marilyn was 16, and Hebert was 22. He proposed to her a year later, and she accepted.
Throughout their long and happy marriage, Hebert and Marilyn made sure to cherish every moment together. They had six children, 16 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren.
In an interview with WRDW, Hebert expressed his doubts about their long-lasting relationship, saying, "I didn't think our relationship would last this long, but I'm glad we've made it this far."
Despite their advanced age, the couple remained devoted to each other, always finding time to spend together and show their love and appreciation for one another.
