On July 11, a fishmonger at Mpondwe market in Uganda fell ill and later died of Ebola in the Democratic Republic of Congo, according to a report by the World Health Organization.
The WHO has expressed concerns that the incident could lead to the spread of the disease in Uganda, prompting the organization to consider vaccinating approximately 590 fishmongers at the market.
However, the WHO has yet to determine the woman's movements or how she was transported to the market, highlighting the need for further investigation.
