On May 22, 2022, Reverend John Nzioki SSP led a team from the Directorate of Chaplaincy and Counselling at the Kenya Police Service Headquarters in conducting psychoeducation and counselling sessions with police officers and their families at Kangundo Police Station.
The sessions, themed 'Spiritual and Psychosociology Nourishment', aimed to equip officers with knowledge on how to manage family issues, life in service, and after retirement, as well as promote spiritual, emotional, and financial growth.
The programme, conducted jointly with the Machakos County Police Counseling team, drew officers from Kangundo Sub-County, led by the area Sub-county Police Commander, Mr. Changach.
The National Police Service commends the Chaplaincy and Counseling teams for their efforts in promoting the well-being of officers and their families through education and counseling programs, addressing mental health concerns of police officers in the country.
