Published on July 17, 2019, Brazilian footballer Dani Alves is reportedly willing to join Arsenal on a free transfer, but only if he can earn £200k-a-week.
Alves, 36, is a free agent after leaving Paris Saint-Germain last month. He won his first title at PSG playing under Unai Emery.
According to reports, Alves will not go below £200k-a-week salary, which may stall the possibility of the deal going through.
Alves, who earned £230k-a-week at PSG last season, has expressed his desire to play in the English topflight, saying, "The idea that I might finish my career without going to the Premier League, it is not possible."
He added, "For sure, this is the most amazing football in the world. First, because of the respect for the players from the fans, and then because of the passion on the pitch."
Alves' move to Arsenal may be hindered by the club's reduced wage bill this summer, which has seen departures like Aaron Ramsey, Petr Cech, Danny Welbeck, Stephan Lichtsteiner, and David Ospina reportedly saving the North London dwellers about £410,000-per-week.
