On July 16, 2019, Rotary International celebrated a significant milestone in the fight against polio in Kenya. At a ceremony held at the Lake Naivasha Resort, Billy Mungai Muturi was installed as the new President of Rotary Naivasha by Peter Mbui, the 1st district governor of Rotary District 9212.

According to Muturi, joint efforts between Rotary and the Kenyan government have led to major strides in the region. He emphasized the organization's commitment to working with the state and other partners to eradicate polio through immunization.

Rotary's efforts extend beyond polio eradication. The organization is also working to improve the livelihoods of millions of people living in poverty. In Naivasha, Rotary is involved in several projects, including drilling boreholes to provide clean water to those in need.

Rotaract, the youth wing of Rotary, is also playing a crucial role in the community. The new president of Rotaract, Jane Mugo, announced plans to continue holding medical camps in Naivasha and to rehabilitate the public park in Naivasha town.
