Kevin Bahati, a musician, has been handed the Mathare parliamentary nomination ticket by Jubilee party, just days after he publicly protested against zoning.
The ticket was handed to Bahati by Jubilee Secretary-General Jeremiah Kioni at the party headquarters on Friday, May 13, 2022.
According to Kioni, the party is pleased to have Bahati, a young man, represent it in the contest.
"You now have an opportunity to help your fellow youth," Kioni stated.
Bahati expressed his gratitude and confidence in his ability to win the election, stating, "I want to confirm that I now have the ticket and that I will be on the ballot on a Jubilee party ticket."
He also committed to campaigning for the Azimio presidential candidate Raila Odinga, especially among the youth.
This development comes after Bahati addressed a press conference last month, shedding tears as he was asked to shelve his ambitions in favor of an ODM candidate, following the Azimio One Kenya zoning deal.
