Kenyan footballers Victor Wanyama and MacDonald Mariga have been making headlines for their impressive wealth and eligibility as bachelors. The brothers recently appeared on Citizen TV, sharing their thoughts on marriage and how they manage their finances.
When asked about marriage, Mariga stated that his football career takes precedence, saying, 'I think that is a difficult question. For me, I decided that career comes first and marriage follows later on.'
Wanyama, on the other hand, expressed a more optimistic view, stating, 'I am of the opinion that when the right time comes, everything will fall into place.'
The brothers' wealth is reportedly substantial, with each of them earning a whopping Sh1 million per week. However, they downplayed their earnings, with Mariga saying, 'the money is good enough for myself and the family.'
Wanyama also shared a heartwarming story about using his first pay cheque to buy his mother a house, despite the modest salary he received during his time playing for Sweden.
