On May 5, 2022, the Jubilee Party submitted the names of former Gatanga MP Peter Kenneth and incumbent Muranga County Woman Representative Sabina Chege for consideration as Raila Odinga's running mate in the August 9 presidential election under the Azimio ticket.
According to Jubilee Party National Elections Board Chairperson Stephen Wandeto, the party's nominees are suitable for a win in the election.
Other parties, including KANU and Wiper, have also submitted their nominees, with KANU leader Gideon Moi and Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka being among them.
