On July 11, 2019, a disturbing incident occurred in Nambale, Busia County, where a 39-year-old woman, Jackline Kerubo, was brutally attacked by her husband, Pascal Omusolo.
According to Kerubo, the family's problems began when she gave a neighbor vegetables from their farm, despite her husband's explicit warning not to do so.
After 21 years of marriage, Kerubo's husband, Omusolo, severely beat her before a neighbor intervened, vowing to teach her a lesson.
She sought medical attention at Nambale Sub-county hospital and later reported the matter at Nambale Police Station.
Speaking to journalists, Kerubo recounted the horrific incident, stating that her husband pounced on her while in the kitchen, hitting her on the head before biting off her lower lip and ear.
Fortunately, their 8-year-old child rescued her by hitting the suspect on the head.
Area Chief Maryline Oundoh emphasized the importance of couples seeking counseling from relevant authorities when facing challenges in their marriages.
A manhunt for the suspect is currently underway.
