On March 21, 2018, Patrice Lumumba, the first democratically elected Prime Minister of the Democratic Republic of Congo, was assassinated by thugs. This event serves as a reminder of the dangers of political violence and the importance of protecting human rights.

Fast forward to 2018, Dr. Miguna Miguna, a prominent Kenyan politician and vocal critic of President Kenyatta's administration, landed in Kenya on March 26, 2018. However, he was detained by the Jubilee government, citing 'insane reasons.'

Dr. Miguna is a key ally of Raila Odinga, the former Prime Minister of Kenya, who had shaken hands with President Kenyatta in a bid to initiate a peace pact. However, William Ruto, a key ally of President Kenyatta, was reportedly unaware of the handshake and may have been opposed to it.

It is worth noting that the Jubilee government has been accused of having two teams: Ruto's men and Kenyatta's men. Could it be that the 'thugs' who abducted Dr. Miguna were from Ruto's team?

Dr. Miguna has spoken out against his detention, saying that he fears no guns. He has also urged the youth to demand justice and has repeated his call for a revolution, which he believes will be intensified nationwide to form the National Revolutionary Movement.

As Raila Odinga visits Dr. Miguna at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, where he is being held, many are left wondering if the Kenyan government will allow him to live. Dr. Miguna is seen as a stumbling block to someone's 2022 dreams, and it remains to be seen if he will be released or not.
