July 13th, 2019, marked a night of celebration for Wazito FC as they basked in the glory of their National Super League (NSL) victory. The team's captain, Dennis Gicheru, took to the stage at Carnivore grounds to address their fans, setting the tone for their ambitious plans for the upcoming Kenya Premier League (KPL) season.

With a target of winning the KPL title, Wazito FC's captain warned other teams that they are not afraid to take on the challenge. 'Our fans have been phenomenal. There were times when the games were not going our way, but they stood by us', Gicheru said, acknowledging the team's supporters.

Despite their impressive win in the NSL, Wazito FC lost nine games, which could have easily cost them the title. The team's success was largely due to their ability to win as many matches as possible and only draw thrice. In the KPL, with fewer games, losing nine matches would be a significant setback. To win the title, Wazito FC needs to minimize errors and improve their performance.

Wazito FC's coach, Fred Ambani, echoed the captain's sentiments, expressing confidence in the team's ability to win the KPL title. Ambani praised the team's players, stating that they have what it takes to succeed in the KPL.

Club president Ricardo Badoer, who has been instrumental in the team's success, also attended the celebration and promised to do more for Wazito FC next season. Badoer expressed his gratitude to the players for their hard work and dedication, stating that he looks forward to a great season ahead.

Wazito FC is also planning to establish an academy and a youth system to feed the team with talented young players. The plans for the Wazito complex, which will include a 45,000 seater capacity stadium, are on course and expected to be completed in three years.
