On April 20, 2022, the Jubilee Party issued certificates to all aspirants in Kirinyaga County, except for the governor's position, at an event presided over by National Chairman Nelson Nzuia in Kerugo.
According to Nzuia, the party aims to support all candidates to clinch their seats, emphasizing the importance of unity in the Mt. Kenya region.
Kirinyaga Jubilee Chairman Mureithi Kangara urged residents to refrain from heckling and instead focus on building the party in the region.
Party leaders also proposed Martha Karua for the position of deputy president, while addressing the stalemate between governor aspirants DG Peter Ndambiri and Senator Charles Kibiru.
Both Kibiru and Ndambiri expressed willingness to resolve their differences through dialogue, with Kibiru stating that they would sit down to discuss the issue.
