Published on July 15, 2019, Rodrigo Alves, a Brazilian model and reality TV star, has spoken out about his regrets over removing his 11th and 12th ribs in a bid to achieve a 20-inch waist.
Alves, who has spent over £500,000 on plastic surgery, had the procedure done in 2015, which cost him £28,000. He had to wear a corset at all times following the surgery to help his body adjust.
However, Alves has revealed that he is now in pain in the evenings and wonders what he was thinking when he decided to undergo the procedure. He told MailOnline: ‘I am in pain in the evenings. It’s not unbearable but it’s on my mind and now I wonder what I was thinking.'
Alves also expressed his concerns about the scarring from the procedure, stating: ‘I’ve been left with two scars on my back, but the worst thing is, I don’t feel any smaller than I did before.'
Despite his regrets, Alves was spotted on South Beach in Miami, showing off his £22,000 pectoral implants. He wore a peach-colored lace blouse to cover his scars and a pair of small trunks with metal embellishments.
Alves has since turned his back on having more cosmetic work done, unless it's for maintenance purposes. He told MailOnline: ‘I have a bump on one side and I don’t know what that is. I need to find out. It could be a piece of floating cartilage. I don’t recommend anyone has this surgery. It is risky, it can be dangerous and the results are only shown when I wear a corset.'
