Kenyan MP Ken Okoth has been undergoing cancer treatment in France, but he says he has found strength in his wife's unwavering support.

Okoth, who represents the Kibra constituency, credits his wife Monica for being his rock during this challenging time.

"I have found that having a good woman by my side is more valuable than having a lot of money," Okoth said in an interview with TUKO.co.ke.

Okoth's friend Fred Gori, who accompanied him to Paris, said Monica has been a pillar of strength for the couple.

"She has been reminding him of how Monica has been with him. Being in Paris without family or friends is isolating, but Monica has left her job to be with him," Gori said.

Okoth emphasized the importance of having a supportive partner during difficult times, saying that even doctors cannot cure cancer without motivation.

"There is a big question about recovery. Even if doctors do their job, it's hard to recover without someone giving you motivation," Okoth said.

Okoth was diagnosed with cancer and has been undergoing treatment in France.
