On July 15, 2019, Kibra MP Ken Okoth returned to Nairobi after a five-month stay in France, where he underwent cancer treatment.
During a recent gathering with his friends, Okoth shared his experiences at the hospital, highlighting the crucial role his wife Monica played in his recovery.
According to his friend and former high school classmate Fred Gori, who posted about the gathering on Facebook, Okoth emphasized the importance of having a supportive partner during a time of illness.
“Guys, take care of your wives. You may have a lot of money for treatment but nothing equals a woman who stands by you in your moment of illness,” Okoth was quoted as saying.
Monica, Okoth's wife, had taken time off work to stay by his side in France for the duration of his treatment.
