Detectives Crack Down on Illegal Immigration in North Eastern Region

On Saturday night, detectives in Moyale, North Eastern Kenya, arrested nine Ethiopian nationals who were attempting to enter the country illegally.

Seven other Congolese nationals, including five minors, were arrested in Isiolo after their bus was intercepted on its way to Moyale from Nairobi.

Further investigations revealed that the Congolese nationals were from a refugee camp in Uganda.

Meanwhile, in Marsabit North, four Eritrean nationals were arrested for being in the country illegally.

Additionally, detectives in Juja arrested three individuals suspected of fraud, including two Nigerians and a 35-year-old Kenyan woman named Winfred Wangui.

The suspects' Witeithie residence was raided, resulting in the recovery of over 70 SIM cards, phones, and various identification documents.

Further investigations are ongoing before the suspects are arraigned in court.
