Manchester City's pre-season tour has been delayed after their flight was grounded at Manchester Airport on Sunday.
The team was set to depart for Shanghai on Saturday evening to begin their tour, but their Aeronexus private jet was blocked from flying out due to an 'administrative issue'.
Etihad staff were stranded at Manchester Airport, appearing confused at the check-in desks with their luggage.
In a statement, Manchester City said: "Due to an unforeseen administrative issue beyond the club’s control, which is being resolved, regrettably, we will embark on our pre-season tour a little later than intended."
The team will now travel to China on Sunday and look forward to taking part in the Premier League Asia Trophy as planned.
They are due to face West Ham in the Premier League Asia Trophy on Wednesday, followed by a match against either Newcastle or Wolves if they win that match.
Manchester City will then take on Kitchee FC on July 24 as they step up their pre-season plans.
