Frank Lampard marked his first match as Chelsea manager with a resounding 4-0 victory over St Patrick's Athletic in a pre-season friendly.
Olivier Giroud scored twice for the Blues, with Mason Mount and Emerson Palmieri also finding the net.
Lampard fielded two different XIs in each half, giving Tammy Abraham and Michy Batshuayi a chance to impress after a season on loan.
However, both players were wasteful in front of goal during the first half, with Mount opening the scoring after being set up by Mateo Kovacic.
Chelsea doubled their lead before the interval through Emerson, who was teed up by Ross Barkley despite goalkeeper Barry Murphy's poor clearance.
Lampard made a full team change at the break, introducing Cesar Azpilicueta, Kurt Zouma, and Giroud, who showed his younger teammates how it's done with two goals in the second period.
Giroud turned in a Kenedy cross after Pedro had twice gone close for the Blues, and finished coolly to wrap up the win late on.
Chelsea face a tougher test in their next pre-season fixture as they take on Barcelona in Saitama.
