Manchester United Dominates Perth Glory 2-0 in Pre-Season Tour Opener ¶
Manchester United started their 2019/20 pre-season tour on a winning note, defeating Perth Glory 2-0 in Perth, Australia, on July 13, 2019.
Goals from Marcus Rashford in the 60th minute and 18-year-old James Garner in the 85th minute sealed the win for United, who dominated possession throughout the match.
United's new additions, Aaron Wan-Bissaka and Daniel James, made their first appearances in a Manchester United shirt and performed well, with James earning himself man of the match in his first appearance.
Paul Pogba, who was pivotal in driving United's attack, showed the more familiar exquisite side of his football, making sublime passes and marshalling the midfield enough to produce goals.
The match attracted a huge number of Red Devils supporters from over 41 countries, who converged to Optus Stadium to witness their favorite United Stars and new additions to the squad.
Manchester United's next fixture is against old English rivals Leeds United on Wednesday, July 17.
