Tecno Mobile and Manchester City Extend Partnership

On July 13, 2019, Tecno Mobile and Manchester City announced the renewal of their partnership for a multi-year period, building on their initial agreement in 2016.

The partnership aims to deliver fan-led football-themed content to City fans worldwide, with the launch of the Tecno Camon CX Manchester City Edition smartphone in 2017 being a notable outcome.

During the launch of the Tecno Phantom 9, the companies announced the renewal of their partnership, which includes a new health and fitness program called 'Race to Manchester City'. This program encourages City and Tecno fans to take at least 10,000 steps per day.

According to Stephen Ha, VP of Transsion Holdings and MD of Tecno Mobile and Transsion India, "The partnership with Manchester City Football Club will help further boost our brand recognition and name value as a leading mobile device company around the world."

Tecno Mobile will also continue presenting the "Shot of the Game" series, which brings back memorable moments from match days, as part of their "Expect More" campaign.

As part of this renewed partnership, it remains to be seen whether the Phantom 9 or any other Tecno device will get a Manchester City Edition.
