Kenya's KDF Hosts 3-Year-Old Aviation Whiz ¶
On July 10, 2019, the Kenya Defense Forces (KDF) hosted a remarkable 3-year-old boy named Elias Muthomi, who has an extraordinary talent for identifying military aircraft.
Muthomi's interest in aviation began at a young age, and he has since developed an impressive knowledge of various military aircraft, including helicopters and jet fighters.
His parents, Moses Githonga and Monica Wambui, accompanied him to the Moi Air Base in Nairobi, where he was greeted by Commander Kenya Air Force (KAF) Major General Francis Ogolla.
During the visit, Muthomi interacted with the general and was taken on a tour of the air base, where he got to see various aircraft up close. He was also given the opportunity to take a 15-minute flight aboard a Huey helicopter, accompanied by his parents.
The visit was a culmination of the KDF's initiative to positively impact the lives of Kenyans, particularly the youth. Major General Ogolla motivated Muthomi's parents to continue nurturing his interest in aviation and informed them of potential career opportunities at the KAF.
The KDF's gesture has sparked widespread admiration for Muthomi's exceptional talent and has inspired many to pursue their passions, no matter how young they may be.
