On Friday, Bandari FC will face Azam SC in a CECAFA Kagame Cup match that will determine their fate in the competition.
Bandari FC have won just two points from their opening matches and must win against Azam SC to reach the quarter-finals.
According to head coach Bernard Mwalala, the team has been unlucky in their previous matches, scoring first but ultimately losing.
"We have been kind of unlucky in our two opening matches since in both matches we were the first to score but somehow our opponents managed to come back," Mwalala said.
Despite being in a tough situation, Mwalala remains optimistic, stating that mathematically, they still have a chance of qualifying.
"Mathematically we still have a chance of qualifying so fate is in our own hands and we have to be at our best," Mwalala said.
On Friday, Bandari FC will face Azam SC at 4:30pm, while KCCA will take on Mukura at 7:00pm in the same pool.
