On July 12, 2019, police in Texas made a shocking discovery at a residence in the state, where a 47-year-old woman had been living with the skeletal remains of her 71-year-old mother.
According to reports, the mother had fallen to her death in 2016, but her daughter failed to provide care, leading to her untimely demise a few days later.
Furthermore, the daughter's child, who was under the age of 15 at the time, was forced to live with the grandmother's corpse, sparking allegations of neglect.
The daughter has since been charged with 'injury to a child' under the age of 15 and faces up to 20 years in jail and a fine of up to Ksh. 1 million if found guilty.
Her mother, a former secretary and teaching assistant at a local school, worked for 35 years before her untimely death.
