On August 9, 2019, Huawei will hold its annual developer conference, where it will release EMUI 10, the next iteration of its custom skin that runs atop stock Android.

Although details about EMUI 10 are scarce, it is confirmed that Android Q will be the base operating system. Huawei's decision to release EMUI 10 before Android Q leaves the beta channel is a significant move, showcasing the company's commitment to innovation.

The conference is expected to reveal the software giant's plans for the future, including potential upgrades to existing features and the addition of new technologies. Huawei has a history of incorporating cutting-edge technologies into its EMUI, such as GPU Turbo and Ark compiler.

Additionally, there are claims that Huawei has improved multitasking on EMUI 10 and made tweaks to the UI and icons. However, these claims will have to be verified on August 9.

Given the recent challenges Huawei faced, the company is also expected to address the current state of its rumored Android OS alternative during the conference.
