Published on July 12, 2019, a Nairobi woman's story of unwavering strength in raising quadruplets has left many in awe.

Divinah Joseph, a Nairobi-based lady, has been the sole caregiver of her quadruplets for three years, a journey she describes as 'fun with the usual ups and downs.'

With a seven-year-old firstborn who is already in school, Divinah's household is a bustling one, with the quadruplets and her niece, who is the same age as the quadruplets, adding to the chaos.

Despite the challenges, Divinah remains resolute in her role as a mother, citing her ability to carry the pregnancy successfully as one of her greatest motivations.

'It's not easy taking care of them, sometimes it's strenuous financially and physically,' Divinah narrated. 'They also fight a lot these days because they are older and freer.'

Divinah's journey has been made more complicated by the fact that she has had to change house helps 70 times since the birth of the quadruplets.

According to Divinah, most of the house helps walk away because the task of raising four children is simply too much to handle, with many expecting to be paid the same rates as they would for caring for only one baby.

'I've had so many househelps. Maybe 50 or 70. It's not that they're bad. But you know when you pay a househelp the same rates which they would get when they took care of only one baby they want to leave,' she explained.
