On Thursday, Twitter users across the globe, including the US and the UK, were left unable to access the platform on their web and mobile devices.
The outage began at 2:46pm EST, with problems reported by users attempting to access Twitter through its website, iPhone or iPad app, and via Android devices, according to DownDetector.com.
Interestingly, other popular social media platforms like Facebook and Instagram appeared to be functioning normally at the time of the Twitter outage.
