Kenyan athlete Eliud Kipchoge is gearing up for a historic marathon attempt, aiming to break the two-hour barrier. To achieve this, he will cover an incredible 3200km in the next three months.

According to INEOS, the event's sponsor, Kipchoge will run 200km per week, which is equivalent to running slightly under five marathons a week. This intense training will take him to a total of 76.5 marathons before the big day.

His training regimen includes running on the scenic trails of Kaptagat, 2400m above sea level, as well as aerobics and cardio sessions in the gym to strengthen his calves and Achilles muscles.

On October 15, Kipchoge will take to the track for a multi-lap, 9.6km course in Vienna, Australia, in a bid to become the first human to run 42km in under two hours.
