Published on July 11, 2019, Arsenal captain Laurent Koscielny has refused to join the team's pre-season tour in the United States, sparking a potential exit from the club.
According to reports, Koscielny is keen to leave the Emirates this summer and has been linked with a return to Ligue 1, with Bordeaux, Lyon, and Rennes reportedly interested in signing the veteran defender.
However, Arsenal are believed to be asking for a fee of around £10m for the centre-back, with Koscielny's agent reportedly holding talks with the club in an attempt to secure a free transfer.
Unai Emery was keen to have Koscielny stay for the final season of his deal, but the Frenchman is reportedly seeking longer-term security.
"Laurent Koscielny has refused to travel to the US for our pre-season tour," a statement by Arsenal said.
"We are very disappointed by Laurent’s actions, which are against our clear instructions. We hope to resolve this matter and will not be providing any further comment at this time," the statement continued.
