On July 11, 2019, a shocking incident occurred in Meru County, Kenya, where a man's love for wali (a traditional Kenyan dish) turned into a public spectacle.

A resident of Imenti, the man in question, was invited to a social gathering by his girlfriend, where he was served three plates of wali. However, instead of enjoying his meal, he ended up eating all three plates in front of his girlfriend and their friends.

According to eyewitnesses, the man's girlfriend was left speechless and humiliated by his actions, which she described as 'shameful.'

'Wewe ni mtu wa aina gani? Hii ni aibu gani umeleta hapa?' (What kind of person are you? What shame have you brought here?) the girlfriend was heard saying as she stormed out of the gathering.

The incident has left many in the community talking, with some questioning the man's behavior and others defending him, saying that he was simply enjoying his meal.
