On July 11, 2019, Mama Ngina Kenyatta spoke at the All Saints Cathedral in Nairobi after the memorial service of the late Jeremiah Kiereini.

She challenged the youth to learn from past leaders like Kiereini and Mzee Jomo Kenyatta, who laid a good foundation for the country.

According to Mama Ngina, Kenya's current leaders could benefit from emulating the trustworthiness of their predecessors.

“Jeremiah Kiereini and the leaders who were there before led by Mzee Jomo Kenyatta laid a good foundation for this country. If only the leaders we have today could be trustworthy like those who there before, this country would have made great progress,” she said.

Mama Ngina urged the current generation to put the country's interests first and inculcate good morals and patriotism in their children.
