Esther Passaris, the Nairobi County women representative, has faced intense backlash on social media after claiming that Kenya's leaders settle personal bills for their constituents.

Passaris made the claim in a tweet, stating that leaders in Kenya represent citizens who want them to pay their personal bills from taxes.

"We represent citizens who want us to pay their personal bills from taxes, including house rent, school fees, hospital bills, and even food," Passaris said in a tweet.

However, her statement did not sit well with many Kenyans, who criticized her for prioritizing the interests of constituents over those of the general public.

Some Twitter users accused Passaris of being insensitive to the plight of ordinary citizens, while others questioned the basis of her claim.

Passaris' statement has sparked a heated debate on social media, with many calling for her to provide evidence to support her claim.
