Mitchell Morgan's journey from a Citizen TV journalist to the Executive Director of a leading security firm is a testament to her hard work and dedication.
Between 2012 and 2014, Morgan worked at Citizen TV, anchoring and reporting news, mostly lunchtime bulletins. After leaving the station, she joined Ebru TV for six months before moving to K24 TV, where she worked for three years.
However, Morgan's true calling lay in the security industry. In 2018, she joined Bob Morgan Services Ltd, a company founded by her late father, Bob Morgan, in 1984. As the Executive Director, Morgan has continued to build her father's legacy by providing a wide range of security services to corporate companies, banks, and diplomatic institutions.
Under her leadership, the company has expanded its services to include CCTV services, cyber security, and more. Morgan has also been involved in community building initiatives, partnering with organizations like Friends of Karura to plant trees and contribute to environmental conservation.
Outside of her work, Morgan has made a name for herself in the entertainment and tourism sector. Along with her husband, Peng Chen, she launched the Alchemist, a popular hangout joint in Nairobi, in 2015. The club offers a unique experience, with an open air cinema, lounge, chillout spot, outdoor dining space, food trucks, and more.
"We decided to open the Alchemist because we wanted a new, open, airy space where the music was the focus and around that, we could have a huge variety of different arts, food, and fashion," her husband stated in a past interview.
