On July 10, 2019, Infinix Mobility released a new software update for the Infinix Smart 3, available for download over the air.
The update, version V220, brings a June 2019 security patch, updated Google Service apps, and bug fixes to the device.
As an over-the-air update, it may take some time for all Smart 3 units to receive the download notification, so users are advised to be patient.
While not the latest security patch available, this update is a welcome move by Infinix to keep its low-cost devices up to date.
Separately, Infinix recently launched the Infinix Note 6 in Uganda ahead of its official arrival in the country.
