According to reports, the woman brutally murdered her 37-year-old husband and their two children, aged 14 and 3 years, in their home. The motive behind the gruesome act was reportedly a result of recurrent domestic disputes between the couple.
Area Nyumba Kumi chairman Geoffrey Mwangi Mugo confirmed the incident, stating that the deceased husband had on several occasions reported to him about being beaten by his wife.
On the night of the incident, the woman allegedly attacked her husband with an axe while he was asleep, hacking him to death. She then turned to her children, using the same axe, before hanging herself.
Their bodies were discovered on Tuesday as detectives launched investigations into the tragic incident.
