Published on July 9, 2019, Mama Ngina Kenyatta attended a memorial service for former Public Service Head Jeremiah Kiereini at All Saints Cathedral in Nairobi.
During the service, Mama Ngina praised Jomo Kenyatta's leadership, saying it had set the country on a path of progress.
"Kiereini and others like Jomo Kenyatta were instrumental in leading the country to where it is today," she said. "Their vision and leadership have laid a solid foundation for Kenya's progress."
Mama Ngina also urged the youth to emulate the leadership qualities of the country's founding fathers.
"I urge you, the youth, to be faithful and loyal to the country and its people," she said. "Follow in the footsteps of our founding fathers and work towards a brighter future for Kenya."
