On January 14, 2022, Lipa Later, a Kenyan tech-led consumer credit platform, announced plans to expand into new markets in Africa.

The company achieved this milestone after securing $12 million in pre-Series A funding from a group of investors, including Cauris Finance, Lateral Frontiers VC, GreenHouse Capital, SOSV IV LLC, Sayani Investments, and Axian Financial Services.
