Justin Muturi, the National Speaker of the Kenyan Parliament, is still recovering from a shoulder injury he sustained in a December office accident.

According to sources, Muturi underwent minor surgery on his right shoulder after experiencing persistent pain despite receiving immediate medical attention.

Photos of Muturi taken weeks after the incident show him wearing a unique sling on his right arm, which is attached to a shoulder immobilizer.

The shoulder immobilizer is a soft foam support that consists of four parts: the chest band, arm strap, wrist strap, and shoulder strap.

It is designed to prevent the shoulder joint from moving, allowing the injury to heal in the correct position.

Speaking about the accident, Muturi shared that it occurred while he was trying to pull a drawer, which caused his seat to slide off a tempered glass chair-mat, resulting in a fracture to his right-hand shoulder and back.

He stated, 'Unfortunately, the pain persisted and on the advice of the doctors, I have undergone a minor surgery on my right-hand shoulder to repair the fracture that I suffered then.'
