On January 6, 2022, police in Molo, Nakuru County launched a manhunt for a university student accused of killing his lover and mutilating her body.

Mark Njoroge Wanjiru, 20, a student at Kibabii University, is the main suspect in the gruesome murder.

Upon breaking into the house, they found a mutilated female body wrapped in a brown blanket under a bed, with the head, hands, and legs cut off and missing.

One female human head was recovered in a yellow plastic bucket under a table in the kitchen, believed to be part of the mutilated body.

The scene was processed, and the body parts were moved to Molo Sub-County Hospital morgue pending an autopsy.
