On January 5, 2022, English Premier League outfit Watford FC announced the signing of Ivory Coast left-back Hassane Kamara from Ligue 1 side OGC Nice for an undisclosed fee.
The 27-year-old defender signed a three-year deal that will keep him at Vicarage Road until 2025, making him Watford's ninth African player in the squad.
“Watford FC is delighted to announce the signing of Ivorian left-sided defender Hassane Kamara on a deal until June 2025,” read a statement from the club.
Before joining Nice, Kamara started his football career at LB Châteauroux and later moved to Stade de Reims in 2015, where he won the French second division.
He made his international debut in a 2-1 victory over Burkina Faso in June 2021, but was left out of the Elephants squad for the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations.
