Published on January 5, 2022, Kajiado county government has revealed that a third of its residents are struggling with the effects of the ongoing drought.

According to Kajiado county deputy Governor Martin Moshisho, the situation may worsen following the failure of short rains.

Herders in the region are counting their losses as the drought takes a toll on their livestock and livelihoods.
