On January 5, 2022, the construction of a 65 kilometer road to connect Nairobi to Maralal town in Samburu County kicked off. The project aims to open up the area for further development.
According to the Ministry of Transport, Infrastructure, Housing and Urban Development Principal Secretary Paul Maringa, the project will have a significant impact on the region.
